SCIENCE:
  • Textbook, Unit 2:  Plants & Fibres - Topic 1 - 3,  Topic 4 - 6 ,   Unit 2 Vocabulary .  Unit 2 - I CAN Statements .     Pamphlet Template.
  • Mon., June 3  - Checking missing work and completing Sustaining the Soil PPT notes 
  • Tues., June 4 - Watching the movie:  Unbroken Ground and reviewing the News Article:  What Patagonia Gets Wrong about Unbroken Ground and analysis 
  • Wed., June 5 - Review for tomorrow's Test.
  • Thurs., June 6 - Unit 2 Test Part B:  Topics 4 - 6 (Need to know the rest of the vocabulary from this unit that wasn't on the Part A Test,  contents and concepts from Topics 4 to 6, from PPTs Meeting the Needs and Sustaining the Soil)

  • Mon., June 10 - Starting Plant Pest Wanted Poster  (research)  ** You may NOT do the Dandelion since it has been done as an example.
  • Tues., June 11 - Working on Plant Pest Wanted Poster (research/content & poster layout)
  • Wed., June 12 - Completing Plant Pest Wanted Poster (Poster)
  • Thurs., June 13 -Due:  Plant Pest Wanted Poster, Starting Unit 5:  Planet Earth

MATH:

  • Mon., June 3 - Need to bring your Geometry Set for this week and next.
  • Mon., June 3 - Due:  Textbook practice from L6 (11.3 & 11.4).  Review for Wednesday's Test.
  • Tues., June 4 - Starting Geometry L1 - Parallel & Perpendicular Lines PPT and completing textbook practice for 3.1, Pp. 86 - 88, #1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, 15.
  • Wed., June 5 - Chapter 10 & 11 Test:  Patterns & Relationships (know how to identify and describe patterns, identify parts of an expression and write expressions using variables, model expressions using cups and counters and use substitution to solve expressions, list/identify the five different parts of a good graph, be able to identify, make, and use ordered pairs, plot points and describe a pattern on a graph, continue patterns on graphs and t-tables, analyzing graphs, identify expressions vs equations, model and solve expressions and equations using algebra tiles, solve simple equations involving variables using mental math, use the inverse of equations/flipping the question in order to solve the equation, model equations and expressions using number lines and counters)
  • Thurs., June 6 - Geometry L2 - Drawing Perpendicular Bisectors & Angle Bisectors
