Week of May 6 - 10

SCIENCE:
  • Textbook, Unit 2:  Plants & Fibres - Topic 1 - 3,  Topic 4 - 6 ,   Unit 2 Vocabulary .  Unit 2 - I CAN Statements .     Pamphlet Template.
  • Mon., May 6 - Completing first half of LAB 2: See-D Beans - Planting beans!  Completing Unit 2, Pamphlet 1:  Plant Structures, Adaptations & Soil.   Reading homework for the week:  Reading Topics 2 & 3.
  • Tues., May 7 - Due:  Unit 2, Pamphlet 1:  Plant Structures, Adaptations & Soil.   Checking Beans and Flower Reproduction Powerpoint L1 and Notes.   Reading homework.
  • Wed., May 8 - Checking Beans and Flower Reproduction Powerpoint L2 and Notes.  Reading homework. (7-3 & 7-4:  postponed science for math.  Will make up on Friday)
  • Thurs., May 9 - Checking Beans and Flower Reproduction Powerpoint L3 and Notes.  Reading homework. (7-3 & 7-4:  postponed science for math.  Will make up on Friday)
  • Fri., May 10 - (7-3 & 7-4 - Checking beans/watering beans and completing Observations from See-D Lab 1 (Days 2, 3).  Completing Powerpoint lessons and notes.) Beginning Unit 2, Pamphlet 2:  Plant Processes
  • Mon., May 13 - Reading for the Week:  Topics 4 & 5.
  • Mon., May 13 - Checking Beans & Starting (7-4) or Working on completing Pamphlet 2 (7-5) Completing Parts of a Plant handout. 
  • Tues., May 14 - Completing Pamphlet 2, Completing Parts of a Plant Handout.

MATH:
  • Textbook,  Chapter 9:  Integers.   Check Answers here.  Chapter 9 - I CAN Statements
  • Mon., May 6 - Due:  All Textbook practice from Monday to Thursday.      (7-3 Only) First, completing Math Dictionary Notes on Subtracting Integers - Using Number Lines.  Second, completing a Modelling Integers Activity - Subtracting Integers Using Number Lines (in visual journal).  Third, completing practice (on lined paper in binder) from 9.4, Pp. 333 - 335, #6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17. (7-4 Only) complete textbook work from 9.4 too.
  • Tues., May 7 - Review with Kahoot
  • Wed., May 8 - Chapter 9 Test:  Integers, working on Integer Art:  Visualizing Integers in our World. (Need to know: about opposite integers, zero pairs, the "rules" for adding and subtracting integers, how to add and subtract integers, represent them symbolically, using integer chips and number lines, how to solve word problems involving integers) **Remember to come in at lunch for help if you need it on Monday and Tuesday... (Double period)
  • Thurs., May 9 - Integer Art (Double period) Due Monday.
  • Fri., May 10 - Science period to make up for Wednesday and Thursday double period
  • Mon., May 13 - Due:  Integer Art projectExample.
